Really good game! There aren't many places to put things so more options would be nice be great game besides that
Great visuals, albeit took me a second to realize the top UI existed 😅.
I think some visuals on where you could place items would make it clearer, as it didn’t seem consistent or intuitive. Once you figure out where to place them though, the puzzles are great.
Nice little game. I agree with all of the feedback provided below, can't really add anything.
For some feedback, something that I found frustrating when playing the game is that there are arbitrary barriers where you cant place certain objects. It feels bad because you want to put an object there but there is no discernable reason as to why you aren't allowed to besides the developer said so. I do like the game though, just thought I should mention that as something to hopefully improve the game at some point
portal with a monkey. me like. I found it easy to grasp. Still playing. needs some fixes tweaks. I managed to beat one level by pushing my shaky monkey up the ladder with a mouse. huh? puzzle design is pretty good. How many levels? still playing. Nice graphics and sound. The UI is so clever. Really cool how it fits with the game page.

This game is actually quite fun. I think that could be a nice mobile puzzle game if you iron out the bugs.
The art and music are awesome, the puzzle design is good.
It's quite janky though. The movement is not very predictable. The interaction with the ladder is often very buggy, sometimes it climbs it down. Sometimes it continues the direction at top, sometimes it doesn't. I don't get why I can place the portal at some location and not others. That makes some levels try and error, which is not that fun.
But it has some potential, good job :D
PS: The text at the end is not very readable.
I would not like to repeat after others, but yes, great sound, great idea, glitchy collision detection, and the most important that roles aren't reversed.
Thank you for feedback. You said that roles aren't reversed. Didn't you read the story? You were a monkey in a simulation but now you managed to escape and you are the one who controlling it so roles reversed.
I liked the concept, but the gameplay was a bit frustrating.
It wasn't clear immediately that pressing buttons at the top would spawn an item in your hand (since you can't see it until you bring your mouse back to the screen).
The monkeys were pretty glitchy, there were times when a monkey got completely stuck on a ladder and wasn't able to climb up.
It also felt random whether or not I was allowed to place a puzzle element in any spot, especially the portal. There was one level where the monkey walked straight into a portal by pressing play, but I wasn't able to place the end portal down anywhere near the banana, or near a platform I could use to get the monkey up to the banana. I understand it breaks the game a bit if you can just place the exit portal wherever, but if that's such a big issue I just shouldn't be allowed to place portals at all tbh
I really like the presentation of the game,
The art is really nice, and the puzzles are good (got stuck at some of them bc the monkey was acting up though😂)
It took me some time to understand how to play tho,
so maybe with the intro text (or even better after during the first level) give some explanation on how to actually play.
But really nice,
Good job!
Wow, super nice! Really love the presentation and the music. The puzzles are nice too, just simple enough that I didn't get frustrated but still had to think a bit, real shame you didn't get this done in time for the jam, really great game!
Nice game! It was really fun.
The game is really fun, and the monkey smile and sound when you reach the banana is neat. It's nice to see how the difficulty improves over time, it feels balanced overall. The only thing i'd add is like a really small tutorial or an arrow on the first level pointing that up is where you have the tools to pass the level. But i enjoyed it a lot!
It's nice to hear that. And yeah showing the player how to play in the first level is a good idea. Thank you for feedback.
