Not sure what switching with the slime was for, but the level design was neat. Would’ve benefited from another key for dashing – it’s easy with arrow keys but not when using wasd.
The switching is a work in progress. So the Idea wasn't finished in time and therefore basically useless. I apologize for any confusion that IT max have caused.
Thank you for the feedback regarding the control keys. Was the placements of the sprint key the main problem when using wasd or is there a bug I am unaware of?
Yep this was exactly it. It was perfectly fine when using the arrow keys though so I did that instead.
Fun to play and graphics look good!
Thank you!
Nice concept even through I can't get the sense of turning into the slime (or whatever actually happens). For some reason I'm losing control (softlock) then getting hit by slime while playing as slime, assuming this is what I was supposed to do.
Pixel art and 8-bit BGM was enjoyable, though.
Please make Sprinting on [LShift] instead of [F]. It is not easy to press A+F or D+F together. Rather use [F] key to Switch in front of the slime. Will be much easier to control the character.
I apologize for my late Response. The slime switching is an unfinished Idea, which doesn't work yet. Thank you for finding the softlock bug though.
Regarding The sprinting Key - I understand your problem, kinda. I am Just Not able to control The Shift Key while pressing wasd, resulting in me always changing the sprint key to F If possible. Nevertheless, I understand that is weird for the majority of people. I plan on making personalized controls in order to solve that issue for everyone. But seeing that I am inexperienced this wasn't possible During The Game Jam.
Thank you for your Feedback!
No problem! I would recommend to assign Sprinting to both [shift] and [F]. In my game you can jump with [W] and [spacebar], both keys are bound to the same Action Mapping. My game is powered by Unreal Engine, but it should be possible to assign many different keys to the same action in Unity too. Please check that out.
