I love how this game doesn’t give exact instructions (e.g. how hard to tighten the screws) but lets you figure it out intuitively with clear, immediate feedback, just like real DIY crafts. I also like that you don’t constrain the player to only do it right – I had to try making like 5 random cuts and leaving the screws halfway out just to see what would happen, and laughed when I saw the lopsided chair at the end.

Fantastic premise!!!  I would play a whole 'Scratch's Workshop' series!  My first chair was a deathtrap and Basil was so kind as to not come at me with a hammer.  Eventually, I honed my craft and created a masterpiece...and had a lot of fun in the process.  A little more direction and slightly larger graphics at times would help, but I liked everything about this one!

Adorable art style! Aswell as a bit of fun gameplay, personally, I don't see myself replaying this a bunch but just to see all the endings, but it does have some charm with the art!

Cute little game, not much to it but I like how different results do give different endings

Thanks for playing! There was supposed to be a third "mini-game", sanding, but we ended up dropping it due to time.

I'm halfway through playing all the games, and this one is my favourite so far. I enjoyed the multiple endings. Oh, and well done keeping the scope so focussed. Really meant you were able to put some polish on it

Thanks for the kind words :)

Cute. Simple. Funny. Great job!

Could totally see this evolving into a wario ware like game.

Thanks! That was a thought while building the game. There are a lot of different tools and crafting techniques that can be simulated using the crank. We originally wanted to have sanding as the second step/mini-game (using circular motions) but ended up discarding it due to time. I also thought it would be fun to use a hammer by swinging the crank back and forth (perhaps should have done this instead of a screwdriver 🤔). I might seriously consider expanding on this now!

Would love that!

Thanks!

Super cute and very original game, one of my favorites. Replayability is good because you can try different things and get different results.

Thanks so much for playing!
