I made a game with climbing platforms too. It's called one-eyed Pete and it was made within a 4 week period. It won't be appearing in my own jam because as the host of the jam I feel it would be wrong to do so but I wanted to make a game because it's fun and because I think it's a really cool theme.  Plus there's so many successful games using climbing as a core mechanic such as DK Jungle Climber, Mirror's Edge Catalyst and Shadow of the Colossus to name a few so I really wanted to give it a try and see what I could create.
