I really liked that you can heal after defeating any enemy, that's making game so much less frustrating. Fog of war and field of view is really good, liked it a lot. Maybe a lil bug where player can move faster if you try to fly diagonally (holding 2 buttons at the same time), but maybe it's just my game feel changed when I holded 2 buttons :D
Great expirience overall, liked white ShootingEnemy ship

Hiya, thanks for your feedback!

You're right, we don't normalize speed based on directions, so you'll get a x*sqrt(2) boost in speed when going diagonally. Good catch ^_^

solid game, nice pixel art aesthetic and I appreciated how much content there was for a short project. I felt a bit disoriented by the control scheme at first but got used to it. I think WASD controlling your ships direction regardless of what direction the ship is facing confused me, but may just be me.

the two different weapon types was a nice touch for a short game jam project and added some variety to the gameplay.

Hi Chufty, thanks for your feedback!

There were two control scripts we made "W = ship flies facing forward" and "W = move up on the screen". Seems like we kept the less intuitive one - I hope we'll find the time to fix it post-mortem, or maybe provide the player with a choice :)

Cheers!
