- I think you nailed the shadow part of the theme but there was a lack of alchemy. Interesting concept but environment felt really hard to move around. If there is a need for so many notes, then the player needs some sort of simple tasks to work up toward it.

The Shadow element is how you avoid the monsters, either staying in the dark or the light. the alchemy part is the setting that's the lab that created them.
There are notes around the map to help you but they aren't needed. Beating the game on your own is recommended but if you get stuck try reading them to explain more about the game. learning how a game works is whole experience I believe.
Extra Notes
Made as a solo dev with a lot of other work I should've been doing, I am very sleepy.
Didn't have time to test the gamer early on here, but Itch is causing all the lights to not work.. I don't have time to figure out why its doing this or to even fix it if I knew, dying inside rn.
