  • Unique card games are difficult to create. The rules were a bit confusing, but the execution was well done. Using different levels of RGB is a clever use of light and shadow theme. Make more games!

Photonic Shadow is a multiplayer card game set in a world where shadows can be projected with dark photons. The players use color theory to take control of a game board by mixing light to capture cards in SHADOW or LIGHT. The player with the most squares of their color at the end of the game wins.

Players alternate placing cards SHADOW or LIGHT. When a card is placed on the grid it spills its photons of LIGHT or SHADOW onto adjacent cards, altering their values. Photonic spill is only calculated for a card when it is placed.

The is security in reinforcing a color value with over saturation and far superior scoring if a player can capture a card with the full SHADOW or LIGHT spectrum of Red Green and Blue or their Anti-Color equivalents, these are called SUPER cards.

A single player can play by trying to get the highest cumulative score for both SHADOW and LIGHT players in a single match. Due to the ability to gain many extra points for SUPER cards the total score at the end of a game is variable, though there is a maximum PERFECT score.
