- Game works as intended. The game plays well and I like the art style. The hand drawn art and at least it seems like self-recorded sounds. The Theme is weak though. Alchemy for just transformation and using a shadow character is not really strong enough or clever enough adaption of a theme for me. I would maybe look at the diversifying the enemies and transformations first. The default form feels too good to swap out of for most enemies.

Gloominescence is a top down rogue like, you must defeat enemies and clear rooms to fight the boss and move on to the next level. The main character, Gloomy, is a shadow on a path of vengeance against The Sun.
It follows the theme because Gloomy is a shadow, and once he defeats the first boss he can transform into something new, which is the central premise of alchemy.
