- The mechanics of this game were quite complicated. Start off simple with simple tasks, then build them up to the intended state of gameplay. I liked the music loop and the art. The character movements felt decent. I liked that it was on a 2.5D plane. Really neat stuff there. Keep at this one. Refine it a bit to make it much more accessible. You'll do much better in the next game jam if you can do a bit more hand-holding at the start, or just reduce the amount of mechanics you're trying to introduce.

QUINTESSENTIAL is a puzzle game about restoring balance to a world overwhelmed by shadow. Scale the Great Tower of Quintessence and brave its trials before the light of your world is snuffed out for good.
The game is played entirely with the Left Mouse Button (Mouse1). Use it to interact with objects, change rooms, drag and drop items, and configure alchemical beacons.

Very interesting mechanic, definitely a win in alchemy department!
BUT, desperately needs polishing and QOL stuffs:
Great feedback. I'll add your QoL suggestions to our backlog. We've had several players tell us that they would have understood the mechanics more if they were taught a bit better, so we'll be sure to include better tutorials for the game in a subsequent release.
Thanks for playing!
It took me a moment to understand the rules, but once I figured it out it became a really cool and challenging puzzle! I could only beat one stage for now, but I'll give it another go later. Great job!
props on your puzzle design, it took a while to figure out some of the puzzles but when i did it was very rewarding!
Played and finished the game on stream, it was pretty freaking sick. It was an awesome unique challenge; solving each puzzle was so satisfying!
