- I found the movement smooth, however I disliked the beam aiming. I would prefer having a mouse pointer on screen that the beam followed. The visuals were nicely done. I would appreciate more settings, such as volume and sensitivity controls. I liked how you implemented the light and shadow mechanics as active challenges, and the changing beam was a nice touch. Great job on the game! I look forward to seeing what you create in the next Jam.

You are Iah, the lunar god, setting out to explore the ever-changing world of Ancient Egypt. In this roguelike, you will only need WASD and mouse movement to aim your beam of light. Escape key will give mouse control back.
Extra Notes
This game jam got me to finally finish something! I've made tens of projects that go to the wayside after a week or two, and this one actually made it and it feels so nice!

It's a bit simple, but perfectly playable. Everything there works and I had fun! Having a cross-hair visible would help a lot with aiming. Also the creatures should probably react to getting hurt - one room had 4 or 5 enemies far enough away that I could just stand still sniping each of them :)
Thanks for playing! Updates will come after the game jam ends to polish some of the things you’ve mentioned like the beam length and other bugs
I really liked this game! The gameplay was surprisingly fun and satisfying for such an early demo, I'm super impressed you got a boss fight done.
Thank you for playing! The gameplay loop was something I tuned early on, so I’m glad it was satisfying!
