  • Good theme interpretation and implementation. Love the main character being a spider. Overall game design, art, sound, vibe, came together really nicely! I struggled to understand the controls and what to do in the cauldron room. I'm not sure the hits were landing. Perhaps a different balance on the enemy waves. So glad you learned a lot and had fun. It was fun to play, thanks for competing!

Tell us about your game!
Arachnomancy is a top-down action game about a small spider that lives in the office of a novice necromancer. In this game, his last experiment went wrong, which caused all of the dead bugs killed by the spider to come back from the dead seeking revenge. You will have to survive collecting the magic essences that the undead leave behind to upgrade your spells until the necromancer comes back to save you!

Controls:
Left mouse click: attack
Right mouse click: ground web
E: Interact
WASD: move

You can only interact with your hideout inbetween rounds.

Extra Notes
My first try ever at making a videogame. I didn't have time to finish everything that I wanted to do but I learnt a lot of interesting things and had a lot of fun.

What a neat game.  Genuinely wasn't expecting to get a DMC-esque rank.  Nicely done!
