  • The movement was really tight. I didn't understand that there were torches that would take away your light and torches that would give you light. From a design standpoint, do torches ever take away your light in any other game? Although the game was fun to play, I got stuck doing the single width platforms. The layout was too tight and there are a ton of games to judge, so I stopped there after failing twice. For the next game jam, try to make the game a bit more accessible to show off your ability to make games rather than showing how difficult you can make the game. All that aside, I did enjoy what I played. Keep at it, you're very good at what you're doing.

Simple platformer, with a light mechanic to make you go fast without failing. A wizard needs more ingredients, so RUN!

Extra Notes
First ever game, and had little time so made it very simple. It was a lot of fun to work on. Hope you enjoy!

The lighting mechanics are very interesting. It looks like I have to complete the level within a specified time. When the lighting is strong, it’s hard for players to spot traps that reduce visibility. When the lighting is weaker, players find it easier to avoid danger. It’s a great balancing mechanism, and I really like it.Well done
