  • GDD Nice pace of the document. Good with checkbox list. Best of luck in post jam Game Good with main menu. Good with settings! The brewing system left me confused. I dont know how I can put the potions in the pots for attacks. I read the help function, and the game doesnt do it. Perhaps it had a bug or it need a tutorial stage. Hard to tell.
  • Honestly I think the main thing holding this game back is the lack of a tutorial, having to find the instructions and page through them is a bit overwhelming to deal with on a timer. I think a tutorial walk through portion before the main gameplay would help this game feel a LOT better, because what you have here is good! I just struggled to figure out the gameplay at first

Ok, so the intro video couldn't be included due to unity limitations, so I'll briefly explain the story:
An alchemist messes up and dissolves the moon with a telescope, now that the night has no more light, a horde of shadow monsters will attack everyone, the alchemist then decides to remake the moon one step at a time, to solve the issues he created.

Controls are kinda intuitive, and there's a tutorial image, but might as well repeat them here
wasd for movement
e to interact at the item you're looking at
mouse wheel to select the various slots in your inventory
escape opens up the options menu
h brings up the tutorial screen

In order to win you will need to access the two smaller cauldrons in the middle to make potions following the recipes in the recipe book, interpreting the symbols and meanings of the potion is part of the issue.
Enemies will attack in waves from all sides (currently only north and south), you will need to make the correct potions to load into the ballistas according to the element of the wave that is incoming, and to the type of enemies.
At the same time, you will need to make a special moon recipe, and put the potion that is outputted into the moon cauldron, which is the big one in the middle.
Doing so will raise the moon and make it brighter, also helping with visibility during the night. Once the moon is big enough, you win.

Extra Notes
So far the games is barebones and only has the essential parts.
Now that it's over, I'm proud of what we managed to accomplish, and I understood that sometimes, having a larger team doesn't mean making more progress.
