- I love how the music and voxel style match up together, and honestly the idea of stealing shadows with the character being apothecary does fit the theme, alongside the mechanics that infuse those elements together. Though I did find the idea to fall short a bit while trying to execute the simple act of taking the shadow and infusing it to melt the ice, as it felt more like a mishap than rather something I did on purpose. The lore writing is short but well done for the introduction, but I would have definitely liked to see a bit more on the elaboration of the shadow-stealing mechanic, because its a super cool concept! All in all, pretty awesome piece especially with all the work you had to do on the side!

WASD to move, F to "steal shadows" and I to "infuse shadows" (explained in game).
Honestly...the GDD and the end result barely resemble each other, but what resulted was a janky grid-based dungeon-crawler that only contains a barely-working tutorial. Its one redeeming quality is that it's so short that the awfulness is mostly self contained.
Extra Notes
I will say, despite the game itself being awful, I'm still proud of it. I work full-time, so in just 2 weekends and a couple hours each weekday evening, I managed to compose 3 short musical riffs, create 25 art assets, and throw together a gross-yet-technically-working demo, all solo. Hopefully by the time this gets viewed, I'll have written up a small postmortem and published the link on the submission page as well.
Thanks Thor for hosting this, and thanks to the judges for taking the time to review the submission.

Really appreciate submitting this even in it's current state. It's still cool to see the concept and idea of a game even if it is broken/unfinished. You did absolutely excellent with the art style, and it's still very impressive what you put together in the short time you had to make it.
Whether you keep working on it or move onto another project, keep at it and definetly join the next jam, great work!
