  • While I found the music and the art to be nicely done, and the controls are easy enough to follow, I am struggling to understand where the use of the items that are scattered around come into play. This in turn makes it a bit hard for me to comprehend how you were trying to implement the themes for the game (outside of seeing dark figures that frequent the dungeon and the elements scattered around). And while even after being defeated, seeing how the layout and spawning of enemies may be generated randomly (a nice touch), it doesn't feel completely fair at times when you get surrounded by 4-6 of them and cannot move unless you fight them away; though, there's no way to defend or replenish your life. That in of itself would be a nice challenge if there was more to work with, and I'd like to see if this could be expanded upon with whatever story you may have been putting together as well.

I love the art and character design! I see that you didn't finish, but it's still a base for a really nice game :)

I hated the music though, so crackly

Nice job!
