  • I am a fan of the artistic choices you have made, the assets look really good. However, the game itself as it is, is very limited. I didn't seem able to craft anything, and so was not able to progress. However, I could see it was an attempt to implement alchemy by way of crafting. I like the use of shadows cast by trees, and getting a tan is a nice touch. This is a really good base to continue from though!
  • I was intrigued as to how the themes would be incorporated into this game, but my experience didn't leave much for me as a result. I did enjoy the artistic style you approached this with, so nicely done there. As for the music, while I found it catchy to listen to, I do wish there was a way to adjust the audio settings so I don't have to turn my own volume down (quite loud before starting to play). In regards to the themes, I didn't really comprehend how either were being incorporated outside of what I assume was mixing items together to use in combat. And speaking of combat, my overall experience playing the game was the main concern I had. Besides movement and opening the menu to create things, nothing was working for me (even after double checking on the specific controls it would take to do so). Even attempting to throw things didn't work. I'm honestly not sure if something was simply not working or if I just missed something altogether. Hopefully if something did happen or I just missed something, this doesn't take away from the work you put in, and I can have a go at this one again. Keep up the hard work.

You are an alchemist living in the enchanted forest, and you’ve just been invited to a BBQ party that’s happening in one week. Blow up the dark forest around you to get a glorious tan to show off to your alchemist friends, and craft bigger and better explosives with the gifts of the forest (that you blew up).
You can move around with A and D open the crafting menu with E and select bombs with 1 2 and 3,
and when your ready throw a bomb with Z and enjoy the sun light

Extra Notes
when playing the game make sure the game resolution is 1920X1080 otherwise you will have scaling issues :)

The art and concept are crazy good. Sadly, as far as I can tell, the score/tan system wasn't implemented for release?
If that's not the case, then I wasn't able to figure out how to get rid of the small trees, as none of the bombs seemed to affect them.

hi!

Thank you for the compliment on the concept and the art! The score/tan system is indeed not working as we wanted.

The smaller trees are the trees that are regrowing, these can't be destroyed.

Tank you for your post :)
