  • Good work on the game! It's a very clever idea! I would like to see perhaps a vague memory trace of the last few discovered tiles, just so people with bad memories can enjoy it. Some ambiance would be nice too, a sound that would somewhat immerse you into your location. All in all, well done! I can't wait to see where you take this project!

Did you include your Game Design Document as a Google Drive link?
Yes

Seriously... did you include your Game Design Document?
Yes - it is on the itch.io description, link to google drive.

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
PLEASE LEFT CLICK, ONCE LOADED FOR GAME TO GET FOCUS.

Controls:

Keyboard:
Arrow keys / WS - to move forward/backward
Arrow keys / AD - to turn (dungeon mode) and navigate inventory (inventory mode)

L key to enable view of game grid system - not advised for gameplay! But feel free to use as a cheat or for testing.

Mouse:
Left click - audio annotation of wall placement around player character, checking environment for useful items (dungeon mode) selecting inventory items to use (inventory mode).

Click multiple times for different annotations.
Right click - to open/close inventory

Please left-click multiple times to thoroughly investigate the area. If the speech starts to cycle, you know there is nothing else (yet?) to do on this tile.

Tips - you will need a fire herb and flint to get past the door.

Thank you so much for judging and hope you enjoy the game, this is my first experience in anything like this and am super proud (and tired from late nights :-D!)

Extra Notes
Thank you so much for the inspiration - anyone can make games!

I have 1 year old twins, an active 3 year old (if you listen closely, you may hear them in some of the sound recordings) and had the busiest work week and life week to fall at the time of this game jam. And yet here we are! If I can do it, anyone can do it!
