- gameplay was nice. tho I think it would feel smoother if you added some kind of animation to the dash as the sudden teleporting doesn't feels as good. also good for you to rising to the challenge with the art :) I like that. keep up the good work!

An alchemist by the name of Lysander is attempting to collect the catalysts from the Primum, living embodiments of the elements that make up the world. With all of these, they will be able to summon the Ens Primum, the first being. The blood of this being is known as the Alkahest, more commonly called the Philosopher's Stone. With this, Lysander would look to change the world to better fit him and his schemes.
The player, Sarin, must collect these catalysts before Lysander is able, so that they cannot bring about such unnatural change.
Controls:
- Left Mouse Button: Dagger Attack
- Right Mouse Button: Alchemical Attack
- Mouse Cursor: Aiming
- Q: Balsam of Soot (Healing)
- Spacebar: Dash/Blink
As a special note on the mechanics, the alchemical attack can be altered at any workstation, provided that you have some catalysts with which to imbue! The idea was to have the player mix and match catalysts to create varying effects. There are 4 catalysts in total, representing the four elements, and you spawn without one.
Combining None with any other catalyst will default to the other catalyst. As well as combining the same catalyst twice will have no extra effect, i.e. Fire + None == Fire. Water + Water == Water.
Extra Notes
This is my first jam and the first "game" that I've released out for others to be able to play. It's been a rough two weeks, being so busy with this as a solo dev, but it's been well worth it. Thank you, whoever is reading this, for being a part of this and making it happen! And thank you, Thor, for putting it together!
