- The narrative fit the theme quite well and the idea of collecting illegal gunk one can only see with a special light is fun and made me curious. The guard reaction was fun too. Being "criminal scum" or not, this has the potential to be a fun little side-project game. I quite liked it. The only thing missing would be a bit of SFX or background noise.
- WOW for a first game this was great! The only tip I would give is to incorporate the control mechanic into the game play somehow. However, the controls were in their own menu and able to be accessed when I found myself stumped. The game was very playable! I was sad there was only one level to do. I was excited to play more. The story that went with was a good one and the GDD explained the world so I was able to understand the shadow references. I thought the way you created a world of anxiousness that needed you to be the brave one and find mysterious elements in it was unique. Well thought out and implemented. The game mechanics were simple and cleverly put together. The game and characters in the level were well put together and fit your theme. Excellent game, truly! GG!

The controls should be displayed in game and I tried to organically hint at the mechanics as obvious as possible, but for simplicity:
The shadows you need to collect only appear if the lantern is set to the right colour and are hidden otherwise.
Controls:
W - up
A - left
S - down
D - right
Space - Jump
Tab - Current Quest
Lantern Colour:
1 - white
2 - red
3 - green
4 - blue

I want to thank you for convincing me to participate and to do more than just write down the idea in the GDD, but to actually make the thing.
It was fun to learn and get something to work. and get feedback from my friends, who I made test the game.
Also thank you for creating this community. I learned a lot and hope to go on to do so.
