- This is a really cute, creative game that implements the alchemy and shadow themes well. I absolutely LOVED the moving shadows around the trees, houses, and other environment objects. This wasn't insanely difficult, but it made it harder to just sit in one place for very long and kept me moving (which of course made it harder to keep track of what objects I searched--that's a good thing). The art style is really adorable. The menu and UI make sense and are pleasant on the eyes. I really like the movement and although I had a little trouble understanding what each potion did initially, I like the limitation of holding only one potion at a time. One suggestion for movement: it feels like I get "caught" on the edge of fences even though the player avatar isn't really hitting them or touching the edge. When I'm trying to fly quickly around corners to get into another shadow, I found myself fighting against an invisible barrier that extends beyond the edge of the fence. It was super rewarding to get info on how long it took me to get all the ingredients at the end. It makes the game replayable and lets the player compete against themselves for a faster time. Really great job and thorough/organized GDD.

Batty, the animal familiar of Sora, the vampire alchemist, must risk the light of day to acquire Sora’s missing reagents so she can complete her potions within 5 days. He’ll have to stick to the shadows or risk vanishing into a wisp of smoke until he can be resummoned.
Fly around a town as a bat, attempting to stay within the shadows, and find the reagents hidden throughout the map. While searching for the reagents, the player can find boosters that provide a variety of beneficial abilities, use echolocation to interact with objects, and will use strategy to determine the best paths to navigate the map.

Wow we actually made a very similar game for the jam! (including both having a vampire alchemist)
Nice.
As mentioned by the judge's feedback, i too noticed that certain objects had a bit of a weird collision, but other than that, nice job.
This is a really epic game! Really clever idea with the actual moving shadows! Very cute art style!
