  • While what was presented in the GDD (regarding the story) seems interesting in regards to the themes; where it feels like there is a secret society being presented, along with the use of light sources in order to hide (in the shadows) and from enemies, were incorporated well. I found the artistic approach to this to be decently done, and the little mascot is cute as well. The music felt catchy, and I'd like to have more to listen to. The playability was simple; I found no issues with the controls, but the collection of items didn't really stand out to me, in regards to how they tied back to the themes in your game. The only thing I can relay that aspect back to is the story you presented. Overall, I'd like to see more of this game expanded upon with more levels and or more story that presents both shadow and alchemy as a 'unit'. All the same, keep up the hard work.
  • Your game is easy to control and is a nice playable prototype/proof of concept. The movement is very rigid and there is very little going on in game. I did not understand a strong connection to the theme while playing beyond shadows being avoiding the guards' gazes. I'd encourage you to try fleshing out the game, seeing where you can make small improvements to each element and to incorporate unique mechanics to make your game stand out.

Good job on your first game. You can improve it a lot after the jam and learn from it to make even better games in future. My suggestion would be to add animation even if they are very simple, some music and SFX because these small details make the game a lot more fun.

Thank you!

I do plan on adding all those, we just didn't have time to do that. Working a job and learning how to make a game at the same time was a lot, but also great fun. I will continue to develop this game after voting over.

And again, thank you for playing and a feedback !
