  • the game managed to self-lock when i spawned in the water in dungeon. It is hard to hit the enemies due to hitbox and the player is too fast - making it hard to dodge on time. Found out I can do item duplication by a mistake.
  • The hit boxes were deceptive. It seemed like I could just swing anywhere and the skeletons would die. The movement speed was almost too fast and I found myself trying to temper my movement. I took a warp and warped into a body of water. I couldn't get out. The overall art style is really awesome. The music is a nice additive to the game.

I love that you have decided to make the movement this fast! Feels so good traversing through the dungeon!

I guess spawning in the middle of the pool was a guarantee part of the experience :P
Game looks amazing! Characters, animations, plants! <3
Music and sfx also on point!

The one issue I had is that the items I got by duplicating do not count towards the end goal...
So even tho I had all unlocked (cheated) I could not finish the game... FIX PLEASE!

Charming game!
Good job!

Hey Denji!

Thanks for the kind words! I can confirm that all the bugs that are present in this version have been already fixed - just have to wait till the jam ends!
Glad you enjoyed it regardless :D

I enjoy the game style. I was a bit weird at the beginning (that fast movement) but got used to it.

I unfortunately didn't know how to progress. Finding different items, collecting them but I couldn't find out how to open an inventory or what to do with them.

But it's really nice and great feeling game :)

Hey RastaGrzwa! Thanks for the comment

TAB was to open up the inventory - sorry there wasn't an easier way to reference the controls in game!
I am glad you enjoyed it at least!

I got stuck in the water after going down to the 2nd level. Light, sound, and music were all very nice. I also ended up just running away from enemies and getting one copy of each ingredient since the ingredients werent used up after crafting them, so I could make infinite things.

Thanks for the comment!

I plan to fix up the water spawn and the item duping after the jam :)

I love the art, especially the collectable plants (with the nice lighting) and the character design. I couldn't figure out how to use items after crafting them. I guess I failed to remember my old master's words. T_T

Hey Mary! Thanks for the lovely comment!

there are 4 item combinations that need to be taken to the shadow - its not explicitly stated what they are (the intention was to add that haha)

the old master's forgive

The game, the idea, the story, the music - so cool, I hope you continue working on this project! I'd suggest adding controls description to the game page for the prototype period, cuz I was a bit lost when it came to a combat. Nice job you did there!

Thanks for the kind words anakoster!

I have added in the controls to the page :)
