- Pretty neat story but the game itself is a bit buggy / jarring. Nice job!

The story revolves around the way outward sources influence our emotions, and in turn influence how we spread that emotion to others.
The story of our character is a young boy who spends all his time on social media being absorbed by the ocean of emotion. The further he sinks into all the hatred online the more he lashes out at his family, continuing the cycle on from him to his family and friends, back on to social media. The voice in the dark warns him of his growing hate and shows him the reality of the affects of social media.
"Who's in Control" comes from the psychological impact of social media, where the more we consume others' hatred or happiness, the more we feel it ourselves. The problem is that todays world is pumped full of negativity whether to bait peoples' reactions, or to gain attention/clout.
You start the game in your bedroom where your mom apologizes for having to punish you for your own actions. The voice then calls to you to warn you of continuing to dive into the hatred on social media and tells you to follow him. You then are thrown into a random mini game where you must complete the objective or the hatred will increase. Complete the objective and happiness will increase. You must survive the timed waves of the 3 different mini games until one of the bars is full. Did you win or lose? Is there such a thing with the internet?
Controls: W A S D, Space
Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?
Yes
Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes
Extra Notes
There is a bug with Whack A Hater, if you swing right as the timer runs out the instance of the hammer persists instead of being deleted. The mini games are randomized which one is next, but post-jam realized how many times you end up playing the same one.
The story is very heavily inferred and not directly laid out, as well as ending the game whether by filling the hatred or happiness is not very clear to the player as it instantly cuts out.
Thank you so much for playing!
