- The rabbits seem like the only thing that spreads, which is obvious. But, the mechanics of stopping such a thing from happening doesn't feel like it comes together in a way that makes full sense when it's "game over" pretty quickly after each attempt

I like the idea. It's like you play god and then let the AI do the rest. Definitely something to develop to add more stuff, too many foxes? Add Bear. Too many Bears? Add Hunters, etc.
Good luck
Hahah, great idea. I hadn't thought of adding more stuff.
I wonder if there's a way to "unlock" additional layers of the ecosystem, so the player isn't overwhelmed at the start.
Or maybe that would be better for a tutorial mode, and better to give a player access to everything in the normal game.
There isn't much to do in this game. It is really fun to watch the simulation running. I can see how this type of game being fun if the simulation was more complex, you had more control over it, and you were given a list of goals you have to try and retch so you have to try and create different conditions by controlling the simulation with your limited tool set (a sort of puzzle game). For example, in this game you can have a task to end the game by running out of rabbits, a task for ending the game by running out of grass, a task for killing X rabbits using foxes, and a task for getting x point, etc.
I like the idea a lot, i spammed that button and they still all die....:(
You planning more?
Thanks! Yeah, it's not well balanced unfortunately.
I might come back to this and expand it.
I'm currently in the phase "make many small games to see what kind of games I like making."
EDIT: adding AI to the rabbits, which should change the whole dynamic
Considering you joined the jam as late as you did, it's amazing what you managed to put together! Yeah the rounds are short, it's entirely unbalanced and it doesn't restart automatically, but the gameplay idea is pretty fun, really wish you'd have started sooner this is a really cool base for a project!
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback.
