  • Despite its simple nature this game is pretty fun. The theme is implemented pretty okay and the game is solid. This holds a lot of potential, well done!

Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?

Controlled Burn is a simple platformer about burning the forest. It has a story, but we didn't have time to fit it in the game. However, a summary is available in on the itch page and in the GDD.

Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?

Fun game, tight movement and combat for the most part. Simple art but the fire spreading animation on the objects was amazing! In the future, it'd be nice to have slightly clearer feedback when you're taking damage (i'm an idiot and often miss this lol) but you got a lot together for the game jam so well done!

Thank you so much for playing! Making the fire animation shader was something I was very proud of, I'm glad you liked it!

It's a fun little project with a fun story to back it up. It would be appreciated, if the drops from the lizards were more common, but as the game stands, I think the devs did a good job in making a fun little game to enjoy!
