  • Your GDD looks great, and this is a great first game (I assume). But the game doesn't fit the spreading theme at all, especially without reading the backstory on the site - it should be presented in the game more and visualized. Not super engaging game play, but it is fun (I got over 100). Best of luck in your game dev journey, keep creating!
  • Very basic. Not much going on unfortunately. My interest waned after about 10 seconds :\ I also feel that the theme of "Spreading" is not present in the game. It's explained to us on your itchio page that we're preventing the spread of the insomnia curse, but had I not read that, I'd have never known the game had anything to do with spreading, or preventing the spread of anything unfortunately. I wish the mechanics were deeper, and more engaging.

Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?
Yes

Tell us about your game!
The story follows K, the last remaining koala that hasn't fallen victim to the spreading insomnia curse. The player must capture all the stars to ensure that K does not become an insomniac.

The mechanics are simple but effective. When using the left mouse button the stars are captured and the score increments. When the player fails to capture all the stars that are onscreen the game will reset and the player will need to start again.

Controls: left mouse button and escape button.

Did you remember to include your Game Design Document?
Yes

Is your game set to Public so we can see it?
Yes

The hitbox of your stars seems kind of off while they move. Maybe its caused by lag or it's due to something else but clicking in the lower half of the stars didn't seem to work reliably. You might want to try to fix this. There's still time left ;)

Thank you so much for your in-depth feedback and for testing out my game :). I'll try to see if I can change it before the deadline :D
