Judge feedback

Judge feedback is anonymous.

  • I found the game very fun and compelling, the mechanics to be unique and interesting as well. However, the theme was non-existent in the game. I read in the GDD that the theme is there narratively, however that would only work if this was a narrative game, which it is not.

Did you include your Game Design Document in your downloadable files?

Synopsis
Man on Fire follows Staranger; the last human left behind on Earth after an apocalyptic event caused the rest of humanity to suddenly disappear. This disappearance was caused by the Khan, a race of shapeshifting aliens hellbent on galactic domination. After retrieving a record containing traces of human culture from a rogue spacecraft, the Khan decide to emulate what they found by making the greatest reality TV show the galaxy had ever seen, with Staranger as their protagonist. They accomplish this by putting together increasingly difficult challenges for Staranger to fight through (anything to boost ratings). Staranger must attempt to find a way to save the remains of humanity while not dying in the process.
