Judge feedback

Judge feedback is anonymous and shown in a random order.

  • A clever and intelligent puzzle game that's charming and fun, nails the theme and genuinely stumped me more than once. Tunes are vibin' and the UI is more than functional.
  • Got stuck on the level with 2 cities, not sure if its beatable, or if my brain is too small. I enjoyed it though! Heres my spot of advice: for some of the mechanics such as splitting, you could have a sort of AI blob get split, to demonstrate the mechanic, my instinct was to avoid the spikes after it killed me as a small blob. Also the rats are somewhat difficult to see for some people with color issues.

Super cool game, with some really challenging puzzles towards the end. Absolutely awesome.

Thanks!!

My personal fav from this Jam so far :) You already won the 1st place for me! 10/10 Level Design and Mood even with the simple art. No real bugs either!

Developer

Thank you so much! Hopefully the judges feel the same way :)

Hi , this was a really cool game. I only got to street level 2 probably because I suck at puzzle games haha. Maybe I was missing something about how the one-way arrow tiles work because it seemed the only way to move the upper slime safely was to trap the bottom slime above the one-way tile. Overall though, I really like the style of gameplay, a nice puzzler! :D

Thank you for the feedback! Glad you liked it, even if we managed to stump you on the puzzles πŸ˜…

Y'all watched the stream and saw the feedback but I'll give it here too, this is a really well polished puzzle game with genuinely difficult puzzles, great music, and a really charming theme. I hope y'all keep making stuff in the future and potentially finish this off, I know you can get that undo button in!

Thanks again for playing this on stream!

This was  so fun - played it on stream as you know, loved everything as I already said. XD

Developer

Thank you for checking this out! Glad you enjoyed the puzzles and lore πŸ™‚

This game took a simple mechanic and just kept layering & layering on top of it.

Here are my notes I jotted down while playing:

  • Was a bit confusing that the blobs had to be merged to get to the door. I thought I had to use both blobs to push the door first.
  • Wish there was a level section tool to know how long the game is going to get me to commit. This would be a great spot to add DLC as well if you continue the game. I did not notice this until reopening the game again while making the notes. Probably best after the level to bring the user to this screen.
  • Nice sound effects with the intro screen showing PS+Godot

Nice one. The last few level made me think, but were a bit frustrating, maybe an undo button could make it a tad bit better. Also it feels like a complete game.

Developer(+1)

Thank you! We also want to add an undo button, it's definitely the most requested feature from the feedback so far. Yeah I think we really went above and beyond polishing this as much as we could πŸ˜…

Strong entry.  A lot of well designed puzzles. Our game for the jam uses the same slime trail mechanics as yours but we didnt manage to get half as many levels as you made.

Developer(+1)

Wow, there really are a lot of similarities between our games, you're right. Interested to see what the judges think... Thanks for the feedback!

Fun and makes you think. :)

Glad you enjoyed it! :)

Fun game! Looks like we ended up going for somewhat similar mechanics. (Yours definitely looks better than mine)

Shlug looks great! Glad you enjoyed itπŸ™‚

Yo really fun and great concept! took me a bit to figure out how to merge on the second half of the puzzles but overall great!

Developer

Thank you! Glad you liked it πŸ™‚

How do you solve the level where you are supposed to meet up with the 2nd slime?

Developer

Have you tried smashing the blobs together? 🀫

Submitted

They are separated and move at the same time, and after 3 moves, the only two options seem to be "Move right, in which case the top blob gets killed" and "Move up, in which case the bottom blob is doomed into a dead end from which it cannot escape"

Developer

Ahh I see... Even if the other options don't seem to be right at first, don't rule them out completely...
