There was a lot of pushback on the previous post about the game jam, several members of the community stepped up to voice their concerns about the entry fee, the pitch session, and the reward. We collectively agreed it would be best to remove all of these barriers of entry and open it up to as many people as possible. Thank you to everyone who spoke up in our Discord. Anyway, below is the Revised Game Jam outline;

Jam Details

The Jam will start on AUGUST 15TH at UTC+0. It will go for 2 full weeks, ending on AUGUST 29TH at UTC+0. All teams will need to register with the Jam Staff prior to starting (we'll host a form).

All teams will have to host their own games somewhere that is publicly viewable.

Theme

For our first Jam, we aren't going to have a theme and leave it open to everyone's imagination. Go nuts with it!

Judging

After the game is hosted, we'll have public voting via a Google Forms document. The categories for judging will be rated out of 10 and are as follows;

• Unique Mechanics
• UI & Intuitiveness
• Cooperation (guilds, parties, clans, group goals, etc)
• Theme

The winner will be chosen by the average of all votes collected.
