Really fun game! The gameplay loop was engaging, and the art style and sound design is very satisfying. I like how the fish will have different facial expressions.

Some feedback on the game:

- The red hand always dropped the fish in the same location, so it was very predictable and easy to catch immediately as it dropped a fish.

- Clicking on fish, as GM637 said, is sometimes finicky.

- This game is very dependent on the sensitivity of the mouse. If your mouse has low sensitivity, the game is a lot harder. If you have a mouse that has high sensitivity or can increase its sensitivity (like my mouse), the game is really easy. I made it all the way to wave 10 and only 3 fish touched the pan (none died). I would recommend adding a way to adjust sensitivity in game to compensate for this if you were to ever update it.

- The ending speech is very nice; the message is great, and revealing it in small chunks prevents the player from getting overwhelmed. However, the ending speech changes font size for every revealed bit, which is distracting. Also, practically all of the speech on the right hand side of the screen was revealed at once and at a very small size. It disappeared after a few seconds, meaning that reading it all was impossible. There were also some typos on the final screen.

- I'd recommend having the ending screen loop back to the title screen so that the player does not think the game froze.

- I'd recommend having some text that actually explains what AHS is. While the game does a good job of incorporating AHS, it does not explain it to the player, which means that it does not do much to spread awareness.

All in all, awesome game! It was cool to see someone else's take on a game based on AHS. I hope your game does well!

Thanks for playing and the feedback!

Yeah, the red hand should probably have a random location everytime. The clicking on fish is meant to be finicky, they are slippery after all and it was meant to add to the chaos of the game and AHS (controlling your one hand is often harder too).

The sensitivity is a good note - can't do much though if someone changes their mouse speed to make the game easier :D

The ending speech was just meant to be funny lol, this game as i said in the description, is a more humourous take on AHS and doesn't directly represent how it is irl. So the typos and rushed final speech were a part of that humour (and chaos) lol. And yes, looping the game is a good idea.

The game doesn't directly represent AHS like i said before, but explaining it would be a good idea.

Very Fun!

  • I wish the grabbing is a bit easier, its hard on my end at least i only got to wave 3
  • Also you could have added momentum when letting go of fish when the hand is moving fast, would make it even more chaotic and fun to just toss around fish into the water instead of grabbing and putting them down

Thanks for playing! The grabbing was meant to be hard to make it a bit more chaotic, but the momentum is a good idea too!
