This game was amazing! I loved every second playing through it and the maps looked incredible. Best thing is that my N64 didn't even die while playing this so that's just great. Defenitly my favorite so far. It's too bad that time seemed to run out but you have done a great job.

Well, what can I say? I didn't think we would get such gems when the Jam got announced. I mean the story, the design, just everything. It's also quite big for a mod that was made for a contest. Let's talk about the design first. You can really see that it was created by an experienced modder. Just surreal. It didn't even look like Paper Mario 64 graphics. I also love the story. Awesome plot twists and so creative. Each chapter (if you want to call it a chapter) also just feels different. I loved how the creator switched it up when it comes to the biomes (or should I say planets). Amazing mod. 9/10. The boss fight was a little bit too easy and you can see that the deadline caused a little bit of trouble. But I can't find any other flaws. Very impressive. You can really see that the creator put a lot of thought into everything. If this doesn't deserve the win, I don't know what does.
I really enjoyed the hack. It gave me the Paper Mario vibe through the start, and I did not expect less from you, the only Paper Mario master student. However, you can clearly see its negative aspects, since the deadline of the Jam was the reason for certain things. For instance, there were a lot of bugs, and you left the Koopa Prof. from the start of the mini-story off. However, I really appreciate the level, music and character design, as well as the references.
I am really looking forward to Paper Mario: Star Nova.
P.S.: Dein Haferbrei-Item hat mich bei meiner ersten Aufnahme des finalen Bosses gerettet. :P
REALLY liked the way this hack looked and the atmosphere of the whole thing (star hill music very good choice), and the planetoid approach was pretty neat. i do agree that the ending was a bit of a shame. the boss fight was way too easy, i didn't even get to eat the sacred porridge. i did do nothing a few turns, and i like the idea of the permanent water effect (assuming that was intentional). i do also demand a five page essay as to why Squirt was changed to Splash
Thanks so much for the feedback! Yeah, the boss fight was kind of a last-minute decision when I noticed that it'd be cooler to have like, an actual fight instead of just credits immediately. Therefore I unfortunately wasn't able to balance it as much as I'd like to anymore.
The porridge is gonna have a more useful.. use another time, so be prepared for that c:
(Also yes, the water attack was intentional!)
And yeah, honestly I just thought Splash sounds better, personally lul - I planned on changing Belly Flop as well, but those ideas all came in like within the last segment of development, so I was more focused on the main stuff
Still, I hope you had fun!
I really like the idea of "swimming" through space, if my team hadn't formed I would have made a hack with the exact same idea xD
But the way you executed it is really fun, exploring the small areas is pretty cool with their own quirks, but unfortunately you can feel the deadline hitting on this one.
Pretty good hack regardless! Short n sweet.
An abruptly short but gorgeous little hack. I was disappointed that none of the trees shook when hammered, but I know that's a pain to set up. I had a good time with this.
