Probably one of my favorite mods for this jam yet! Some of the bosses were really hard but still very fun and unique to play. This actually feels like a whole new game because of the gameplay where you no longer fight enemies the old rpg-way. Unfortunaly, the N64 can't play this on an everdrive. It just freezes on a black screen after all the scrolling text but this is actually the only bug i found. The easy and normal difficulty kinda felt like the same in my opinion because you get more lifes in easy  mode, but are a lot more weaker to being hit while in the normal mode, you get less lifes but you are not so weak to getting hit. Overall, really good job!

This was really cool! I struggled a lot against the Hammer Bros, though. I think "Difficulty" would have made more sense if it was called something like "Ship Type". I didn't necessarily find "Easy" to be easier than "Standard", they just felt like two different play styles. The "Easy" ship seems like it has higher shielding but lower hull, whereas the "Standard" ship seems like it has no shields but high hull. Not sure if that makes any sense or not, but that is how I saw it. Awesome job on the jam!

I don’t know if it has to do with my Everdrive 64 X7, but for some reason after the long intro, the game just cuts to a black screen, and doesn’t even start the gameplay properly. In fact, skipping the intro brings up the same result: nothing but a black screen with the Kirby Super Star remix music playing. I have no idea why this happens, but could it be because it’s not console compatible? Really appreciate it if you can see what could be the problem, thanks.

Incredibly well made and works perfectly on every technical aspect. The only flaw for me was the difficulty. Even on easy I had to resort to savestates during the hammer bro and bowser fight, for the sake of my time.

this was very cool and i had a lot of fun (on standard mode). appreciated the music, sounded a lot cleaner than some other pm64 hacks. but there were some frustrating aspects. at least to me, the hammer bros were WAY harder than the other 3 bosses available. also bowser 4's squiggly diggly fireballs would sometimes hit me despite not even being visible onscreen, particularly painful for being so late into a long fight. i think the more minor frustrating things standing out is a good sign however that it is overall very well done. and you let me live out my dream of abandoning goombario on a street corner and then dying

I think some bosses are handled rather bullshitty and unfair / unintuitive for the player and a little more consistency overall for the bosses would be nice, but besides some minor nitpicks.

Looking away from that though, the hack is really cool and not something you'd expect in a Paper Mario modding competition with really good boss ideas and (besides some imo janky and not fun) executions.

I think this one is my favorite, big fan of SHMUP games and this was definitely hard like one lol

One of my favorite entries from the JAM, really impressed by it, was really fun. The only problem I had it’s some bosses’ attacks are really bs, I know shoot ’em up games are usually hard but still.

The music was really well done too!
