Description
I'm not sure what to call the overall genre of the soundtrack, but mostly somewhere between Ambient and Noise I guess.
Everything was made in FL Studio with the help of various VSTs and a couple analog synths, most notably the Lyra-8 used for the hellish noises of the third track.
The music (and the imaginary game it is for) depicts two radically different worlds, connected by an additional border world.
The "Light" world is a seemingly happy and innocent place, but nonetheless hides something sinister beneath its façade, and it is up to the player to uncover the truth.
The "Penumbra" world is a bridge between the two main dimensions. Countless objects, spirits, and thoughts constantly travel between Light and Dark in this abstract space where time goes back and forth and space is inside-out. Musically it aims to bring some cohesion between the total clashes of the other two themes.
The "Dark" world is a cursed universe filled with tormented souls and endless suffering. It was not always like this, it seems to have been corrupted by something, something from the Light world that once invaded this space... But however bleak this place may seem, if you search hard enough, you can still find moments of true beauty, buried under the mountains of pain.
Theme:
How does it fit the theme?
Quite a literal interpretation, simply a game about travelling between two very different worlds.

Awesome work and so well produced. Love how it goes all warped towards the end of The Light and how the tracks get progressively more warped and twisted. Absolute treat to listen to!
Great tracks, with a very good and different atmosphere for each one; good job!
Ooh I really did the atmosphere of The Dark, it's so cool and I like that everything feels almost out of place. Really good job!
I liked this so much more than I expected when I read "somewhere between ambient and noise", well done! All of the tracks were really cool, but I was especially impressed by the feeling of uncertainty conveyed by the Penumbra theme. Also, it's really apparent how much effort you put into mixing, good stuff.
Great work here! The atmosphere you capture with the dark theme is so cool, and I dig the Border theme as well. Thank you for your work!
I like all of them but especially the Dark theme, love the ambience and all the details. Nice job!
perfect representation of the theme! Especically love the border track.
Distinct mood in each piece. Great ambience. Immersive but not overbearing. That labored breathing sound in the Dark is very creepy. Great stuff!
I enjoy the contrasts between the worlds, also the border music!
my takeaway is that anything close to B gets very spoopy
