Description
It's synthwave with some industrial elements.

Tracks:

In The Moonlight: A chill song that represents the general feeling of the game and the world.

Enhancements: This song gets more active as it progresses and it shows the more action elements of the imaginary game world.

Cyberpunkin': This track reveals some more action and more heavy sounds, like a combat theme.

Cyberpsychotic: This track also contains action but relies a lot on percussion elements.

The DAW I use is FL Studio. Most synths are from Surge either made with a preset or just built from scratch, some other synths sounds were made with sawer, harmor and harmless (all built-in synths). Effects were done with Kilohearts plugins. Percussion was mostly done with Reaktor. The drums were made with EZDrummer and various other drum machines layered on top such as a tr-909 and a Linndrum.

I also used a 7/8 (or 7/4) time signature in two of the songs. In the moonlight features a segment of 7/8 after the first buildup and Enhancements is fully in 7/4 but divided in 3/4 and 4/4 so I think it’s fairly easy to follow.

Message from the artist:
cyber night punkin'

How does it fit the theme?
It's synthwave with a mix of industrial sounds for chill and action packed cyberpunky music.

I really like the use of funky time signatures, I think you pulled it off really well. Also love the overall sound you gave this, it fits cyberpunk but stretches beyond it even. Really cool!

Cool time signature usage. Some effective synthwave progressions in here! Cyberpunkin is so cool, and exemplifies Cyberpunk the most imo. Cyberpsychotic closes off with similar dark, gritty cyberpunk vibes. Great work!

This OST is like Mary Poppins... perfect in every way ^_^. It's like definition of standard cyberpunk soundtrack. Good job!

In The Moonlight - Sounds good! Nice choice of synths. This one sounds quite optimistic. It sounds like it would fit ending credits.

Enhancements - Ooh, getting 80s vibes from this alright. Really like it when you break out the harder percussions near the end of the track.

Cyberpunkin' - Oh yeah, here come the harder synths. Love how you slowly open up that filter in the opening. Great stuff! Cool lead noise too. Definitely feeling empowered by this. Love the build up to the finale. Great anticipation there.

Cyberpsychotic - This one has so much attitude. Very cool! The melody reminds me a bit of the trailer theme they used for CBP2077 (Hyper - Spoiler). Definitely fits the cyberpunk theme :D

Favourite: Cyberpunkin'! That energy is just addictive!

Nice cohesive album - every track brings something special to the table. In The Moonlight is sweet and paints a nice picture of the city on a good night. Beautiful harmony between the high synths. Enhancements adds great tension for the action that comes next in Cyberpunkin' which is probably my favorite. The best moment is the build to 2:45. Incredibly satisfying! The last track would make a great boss theme so you could really make a whole game here. Super impressive for crunchtime! Makes me excited to see what you come up with for the next full jam :)

Thank you for all the kind words! Hope I’ll be able to make it next jam as well, been a bit busy with school lately but that usually doesn’t stop me.

Oooh, the change in energy from Enhancements to Cyberpunkin’ was really fun! Excited to hear something more uptempo after the relative calm of the first two tracks. Really fun gutteral basses, too!

I loved it! You managed to get really full and layered tracks which is pretty impressive in such a short amount of time. Every track has its own ambiance but still feels like it belongs to the same univers. Great entry!

Developer

Thank you! Once I had the workflow down (which I developed mostly during the making of ''In The Moonlight'')  I applied it to the other songs and it made it a lot easier coming up with ideas and continuing work.

Wow, impressive amount of content for a 48 hour jam. Good quality sound too! Good use of 7/4 to add more interest to a simple progression.

Good job. Bit more than the 10 minute cap to listen through though.

Developer

Thanks, I didn't even know there was a 10 minute limit, must've glossed over that while reading the rules.

Yeah, I felt the vibe from the first chord, very well produced tracks, cool instrumentation, and that’s quite a lot of music you’ve done before the deadline!

Nice bit in Enhancements where the drums enter. You think the track is over, but it just hands you the heavy part as dessert!

Cyberpunkin was just a good track to listen, really great for a combat encounter, same with Cyberpsychotic!

Developer

Thanks a lot!

It's Cyberpunkin' time!

I really like the 1st, 3rd and 4th tracks, great job! I like the aggressiveness and cyberpunkyness both Cyberpunkin and Cyberpsychotic has!

The Moonlight sets a rather uplifting mood at the beginning, nowhere as somber as most other interpretations of this theme. I like how it progressively gets cyberpunkier from there. Upbeat feel throughout the soundtrack.  I like the energy. 7/8 time signatures here and there also make it unique Great work!

Developer

Yes, I felt like I didn’t need to make every song sound dark and instead went for something more uplifting because I’m sure there’s nice and uplifting things somewhere in an imaginary cyberpunk world, thank you!

in the moonlight fit so nice with the cover that you can picture it when your not looking at it. But the gem is cyberpsychotic which is 100% Cyberpunk style

Thank you!
