Description
I only used MuseScore to produce the audio.

To follow the theme, the name of the game is A Child's World, a top-down RPG game. It is about a young girl who has really few friends and likes to daydream. The world is actually something like lucid dreaming where she can go to her own world (or let's say in her mind). She will be meeting with imaginary friends and enemies that represent a parts of herself. Her mom passed away a long time ago and she is trying to recall and to remember everything about her mom.

Hot Sun, Cool Ocean
- This is the relaxing theme if there is no need for combat or the area has usually no combat event. Since the picture theme has bubbles, it looks like there can be ocean somewhere.

Crawling with Anxiety
- Since her mind is a manifestation of something about her, this piece was added. Conflict are important and for this battle, she cannot really fight back. What she can do is only move to prevent being hit. The enemy cannot see her.

Dear Mr. Tuna
- Of course she has an imaginary friend. He is a cat that dreamt to run a 5 star hotel/cafe.

Where Isda Muzik?
- Mr. Tuna was an imposter. It was also the name of an old pet, gold fish. And it was a battle. She is protecting the imposter Mr. Tuna.

Join my Crew
- She needs to have imaginary peers and she is being invited. Maybe the name of the group is Pretty Pink Pirates because they like pink nails.

Ocean Turning Pink
- It is about confession, of a crush. She is looking at a "couple".

It was Almost Real
- As the Picture theme and "Inside my world" suggest, in the end she simply enjoys the vague memories... and kinda accepted that it is not real but it feels real.

Message from the artist
This is my first jam. I am really excited to hear the other entries. I will add some more entry (if I can do it before deadline).

Inside my world
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
How I see the picture is that there is a child that is imagining a presence. I think it's her mom... and it is not real.

It fits to the theme because the "game" is about the girl longing for her mom.

It was a curious and varied set of completely different music to each other. You used different and interesting sounds and melodies.

Where Isda Muzik? - sounds like the musical accompaniment for a dynamic moment in..... comedy movie. Cool!

It was Almost Real - I liked it and... can I be honest? I cried. Heh)

P.S. Crawling with Anxiety reminded me of Flight of the Bumblebee.)

I really like your music style, It's really pure and beautiful. Also, the theme and description of the tracks fit perfectly. If i can give an advice is that you should work more on some of the songs to make them even better. Great job on your first jam! (This is my first one too)

Great job on making so many tracks for this!

Enjoyed my listen overall. I think some of the tracks could use more development of the ideas you introduce in them.

I really enjoyed the more unique tracks like join my crew.

Some of the songs had some mixing issues. particularly the last one had major clipping issues with the strings that was hard to listen to.

but really good overall!

Really beautiful stuff here honestly! My favorite tracks have to be Dear Mr Tuna and Join my Crew. The chord progression is so catchy in Dear Mr Tuna and all the instruments work so well together; really takes me somewhere tropical. Join my Crew has this pirate swing feel to it that I just love. It's fun and a very fresh change in this OST. There's so much variety and lovely textures found throughout this entire soundtrack so well done!

Only real negative thing I can point out is there's some songs that have mixing issues such as low rumble that muddies the mix. I'd also suggest adding volume automation/velocity control to your instruments to add variations in dynamics. I don't know how easy mixing frequencies is with MuseScore but I'm sure there's an efficient method out there! (Or cave and become a DAW user, hahaha)

Again, nicely done. I can tell you put a lot of effort into telling a story with your music. I think this OST would work brilliantly in an ocean themed game!

Hello!! Thank you for listening!!

Well about the mixing/mastering, I really have to relearn it. I have to admit that I really have a long way to go.

I hope I can join again for the next OST jam with better mix. I am planning to add a sound cloud later with these tracks. I don't have an account yet.

I have heard your tracks. They're good!!! They have a good chance to win.

Good luck to all of us.

Well done! I started on MuseScore before deciding to go chiptune instead. It's a very cohesive cycle, each song matches the described usage perfectly!

Hey Spring Tyano! I compose on MuseScore myself so it's always cool to hear what other MuseScore composers are doing. Absolutely loved the variety you went for! My favs were definitely "Dear Mr. Tuna" and "Where Isda Muzik?".

I don't have too many complaints about your compositions, although your last piece, as gorgeous as it was, was a little distorted due to volume clipping by the mix. I've had this problem before, and to get around it, I would use Audacity to lower the amplification and compress the track up to volume as needed (the final mix should usually be no higher than -3dB to avoid clipping), there may some tutorials online you can look up as to how to compress and adjust your audio volumes. Or, you can also lower the master volume in the score mixer before exporting and compress or amplify it in Audacity if needed.

Great work, keep it up!

Hi silhouettus!

I am really happy that you like them. You may not realize the effect it gives to someone like me...

Thank you.

BTW, I have listened on your work as well. It sounds a pro! I have to learn mixing now because of your tip. I hope you win this competition. 🙏🏻 ❤️
