Description
The game we imagined is a typical fantasy RPG at first. You play as the hero who tries to protect the world from an antagonist, who was previously part of the council and suddenly started attacking the city of Kateénia along with a group of followers. It is now up to the hero to stop the antagonist and discover their reason for attacking. The story unfolds along with the themes of the chosen tracks.
Tracks:
#1 The World of Kateénia
The first track is played during the initial introduction of the world. The city is shown right before the attack of the antagonist which none of the people living there suspect yet.
#2 A Double Edged Sword
This track is played before the first mayor battle against the antagonist, in a cutscene in which the hero and antagonist get to talk about the reasoning behind the attacks for the first time. But the only explanation for the sudden violence the hero hears from the antagonist is: "I'm going to make this my world."
#3 The Terms of Fate
In The Terms of Fate the player starts a cutscene after the final battle in which the antagonist got fatally wounded. In their last moments the antagonist starts talking to the player instead of the hero, thus breaking the fourth wall. The antagonist asks the player for their real name. They finally reveal that they were hoping to reach the hero and disrupt the course of the game with their attacks. But they had to realize that the hero was controlled by the player since the start of the game and they couldn't change the course of the story. Every character was just a mere puppett in a game for the entertainment of the player.

In tracks 2 and 3 Bianca did the vocals for us as a guest star. Thank you for your help!
Theme
How does it fit the theme?
The antagonist is represented musically by analog sounds (mainly the kalimba/ thumb piano and vocals) - this is intended to illustrate the attempt to break out of the player's digital world. However, the dulcimer represents a link between the role of the antagonist in the game and his attempt to break through it.

I hear the atmosphere, the eeriness of the unknown and the VOICE....
I'm scared...
Thank you...?
Nice piano melodies, the vocals fit great as well. Overall, a nice atmospheric soundtrack!
I think the vocals were a great addition they add a lot of texture and intrigue!
Really sweet piano, and 'Double Edged Sword' and the voices are a really cool touch! Love what you did with 'The Terms Of Fate', the ending really fits the player not having a choice. I love the distinct vibe this score has!
Love your approach towards the theme and the story you composed! I think it's very creative. What stuck out to me on all the tracks is the powerful piano melodies you had, especially in The World Of Kateena! Lovely vocals as well, great work overall!
Man... I instantly fell in love with this. The World Of Kateena was such a great song to start with I accepted it would be my favorite of the OST. Then The Terms Of Fate hit and blew my mind. What a rollercoaster of emotion! Amazing work. All 3 were captivating.
Nice! This has a medieval fantasy feel to it and I like the pianos and intense moments in these tracks like a fight could break out at any moment! Thanks for sharing this!
Nice Job Teamo, very sombre and grand, the first track reminds me of the music from FFX, with just the twist of the occasional jazzy dim chords. great work, I'd play this game
lovely piano writing! loved the vocal stuff in track 2. overall a great concept and enjoyable to listen to. those final moments were super gripping!! amazing work team!
This was a beautiful listen! You did a very good job on these. The last track in particular REALLY sells the deal with that twist. I wish you had an entire soundtrack with those last few seconds!
