Going to the Olympics 2020: I really like the guitar sound! It feels very clean and has a beautiful delay on it. Wow the energy certainly ramps up in this track! Nicely made drums.

Koriyama Skyline: This track sounds like it accompanies a very poignant moment. The delicate piano at the end overlying the heavy string swells feels like there is an emotional instability that is conveyed well in your writing.

Grand Escape: The string writing sounds so optimistic! I love when the trumpet enters and adds to that uplifting feeling. Overall this was a nice grounded soundtrack that was very beautiful in the intricate as well as the simple moments. Great work and thank you for sharing!

Very intriguing song names, would have loved to have some more context for the game! The background sound of the crowd blending into the start of Going to the Olympics 2020 was an interesting touch. Love the intricate piano work in Koriyama Skyline with the sudden, abrupt transition into the ticking clock sounds. Overall, a very lovely little soundtrack that was an enjoyable listen. Nice work!

I don't think any other entry in the jam can trace its compositional influences so directly to pop music. It really speaks to the infinite variety available to the video game composer in terms of where they can draw inspiration and what sort of world they want to portray. Being as "pop" as it is, this could easily be a game portraying a contemporary world, with contemporary, realistic characters inhabiting it. I can't think of any other entry in the jam I can say that about. Also, the "tick tock" theme came through really strongly without being too literal, especially in "Koriyama Skyline". I was prepared not to like this but in the end it won me over, so good work.

I found some instrument choices in the first song to be a bit iffy but the other tracks sound fine. I also really like how your story is more grounded in reality compared to other submissions that lean heavily into game fiction! Really brings a fresh atmosphere to the soundtrack.

Going to the Olympics 2020: what a fascinating opening! Love to hear live instruments used. The reverse sounds are cool. I do always caution against the method of composing where one repeats the same 2 or 4 bars with changing instrumentation, as it can get redundant quickly. While it does eventually return to the same chord progression again, the break around the 1:10 marker was a cool way to spice things up momentarily!

Koriyama Skyline: I love the use of chatter sounds in this track! These little extra-musical additions are what really make a track unique. This track really would have benefitted, I think, from a melody a bit sooner: the piano melody was cool, but waiting so long to finally bring in a melody detracted from the opening: also, having the piano chords so low and tightly voiced muddied those chords for me.

Grand Escape: loved how it went right from one track to the next! Loved the little clock sound. Be careful, because the piano is clipping.

Nice job altogether, and keep writing!

Overall the compositions aren't bad but I think you want to quantize those notes cause it sounded a bit rough beat wise.
