Description
A soundtrack for a currently nonexistent game about a vibrant demon hunter who dies while trying to remove a curse from a mysterious book & becomes trapped in the underworld. To escape, he must make a deal with the Grim Reaper, who agrees to let him try to eliminate the Reaper's least favorite demon of the underworld, but time is ticking! If Arthur can't complete the Reaper's task in time, Arthur will find himself trapped in the underworld forever!

Created for the #OSTcompjam with BeepBox!

Theme:

Tick Tock...

How does it fit the theme?
I used drums & other instruments for rhythm in a manner reminiscent of ticking clocks, & the theme of the game it's created for centers around a big task which must be done in a timely fashion.

The software screenshots look like ominous witchcraft to me, but the audible results are awesome! Sounds like just from a retro game! Nice work!

A simple and cute vibe. Overall enjoyable, though I would have liked to see some longer loops with a bit more variation to keep things from getting stale.  Nice work!

Arthur’s Theme Song: Straight from the beginning, this sounds like an arcade game! The instrumentation sounds like a harpsichord which is an instrument that gives a lot of character to the music it is used in.

Jumping on Underground Clouds: The short loop is fun to listen to and would go well with the early 8-bit platformer type levels.

In the Hall of the Demons: The effect of this sounds like a voice! I am trying to imagine what it is saying… it kind of sounds like “I knew, I knew” over and over again. It’s a cool effect!

Trapped in Limbo: You used the perfect chord combination to musically describe limbo. Using a I to iii chord does not give any harmonic motion and makes us feel stuck without motion - perfectly conveyed in your writing!

Triumph!: This track gives such an optimistic feeling that would make me feel very accomplished at the end of this game!

Overall: This is a fun soundtrack for a short arcade-style game that I would definitely try playing! Good work and thank you for sharing!

The melodic lines are very catchy and I like the arrangement of Arthur's Theme Song. It's an irregular pattern that fits the jam theme quite well!

I want a 1-hour version of "In The Hall Of The Demons"

Cute little selection of tracks. I think I would have liked some more variations in the loops, but there are definitely some cool melodic ideas in here.
