Description
it's an 8 bit inspired game music. Worked on Logic Pro X , with retro synth and Massive, mostly.

Message from the artist:
I felt inspired by San francisco de Asis.I loved the drawing! The story behind was written together with a friend: Lucas Carnota.

Theme:

Runaway
Picture theme

How does it fit the theme?
Francis escapes with his months-old brother Ele, after the King's father's adviser troubled his mind. Francis, who has been an apprentice to the advisor, knows as much as he does that Ele could be the child that the prophecies predicted would be born, owner of a unique power, who can bring enlightenment to the world, the hinge of a new era.
Hundreds of miles away, through the depths of the forest, lies a temple known to be dead, and only a few know that it is the place for Ele's supposed power to reveal itself.

I like your take on the theme, very unique story. For the first track I would've liked a little bit more bass just to give it more depth but overall great. Before reading the description and jumping directly to soundcloud I was expecting some kind of Gregorian chant but I was pleasantly surprised with the 8-bit texture. Good job!

Hey Altair DNP. Sorry for the late reply. I have really listen to your feedback and Iám keeping it in my mind for nexts songs! I think the same about the bass. I realise now. Have a good one. Thank u! j

Very unique take on the theme, a religious figure from the dark ages portrayed in such a modern way.

Me encanta mucho. Bien hecho!

Really loved this, especially the first track, very cool sound. The mix of textures was brilliant. The percussion in the first track was extremely satisfying.

Developer

Nice approach, I like the different dyanamics especially the second track, cool musical choice, nice melody and arrangment, my only complaint I would've like a bit more power on the drum part and maybe cut some mid annoying frequency. Well done !

Developer

Hey FoxHyode! I totally agree with you. I had only saturday to sit down and joined the jam. I wish I had more time really because after 12 hours of sitting down with only headphones on, my ears were fried! ;) I couldn't listen to any frequency up to that point. I just went for the melody. It has barely no bass. Thanks for the feedback. I really appreciate it!

In love with the sicilienne of the 2nd track! I'm very impressed how the 8 bit style could sound this classy and engaging, beyond the cliché of it's timbre. Great work!

Developer

Hey pneumotortuga! Thanks for the comment. I really tried to have some of the 8 bit aesthetics but not the straight up chiptune sound. I'm glad that it worked! Thanks for listening!

Evocative tracks that help to tell a powerful story about Francis' escape with Ele -   I particularly like the layers within 'Ele's Eyes (Relfection)'. Nice work!

Amazing.

El Fugitivo - Beautiful intro. I feel this would beautifully create intrigue for the story about to unfold. I also really like all the gliding synthwork. My favorite of the soundtrack you composed. It definitely has that "hello, I have something to tell you"-vibe.

el Runaway - Again a great work. I was intrigued by the fact that the melody initially sounded like it came from a distant past, but then once the chords were added, sometimes you subverted my initial expectations when it came to the chords that played under the melody (in a good way). It gave it an unexpected jazzy feel sometimes.

Really great work!

Very unique approach to take a real life story and create you submission off of it. The tracks a good too, though I do wish there was a little bit more, but that's a good problem to have. Nice work!

Developer

Thanks for your feedback Soltairus! I wish I had I little more time too. It was busy week so i only had yesterday to write and record. I really enjoyed it while it lasted though. Thanks again Soltairus!

Thank you for your feedback Sergio! I'm very glad you liked it! I think Francisco de Asis ´s story has a lot of crazy elements worth to have a read on. To Research and discovered such characters is one of the main reasons I enjoy Game Jams so much. Thanks for listening again. 👋
