I like seeing the Orcs being the ones to outsmart the enemy for once
I really liked the twist on the "default" honorable and noble depiction of the DAO military - Teshin is a slimy little weasel and it's delightfully fun to watch him fall apart. There was one comment that intrigued me, and I'd love to know why you tossed it in: at one point Teshin thinks that the orcs' aggression against his homeland is "justified", and I'm curious why he thinks that. Is he seeing the world through a very mercenary lens - 'I don't care who's right, just who's signing my paychecks' kind of thing?
Overall this was a solid take on the theme, well-written with good flow. Thank you for letting us read it!

Having the DAOU get their beans at the hands of the mighty greenskin inevitability put a smile on my face. Some reckon the Orcs "can't shoot for crap", but compare them to the common Regular Infantry of the HDF and they shoot on equal terms, its just their enthusiasm goes more toward killing stuff where they can clearly see it, while most run of the mill Orcs are veteran human soldier level in a brawl.
Yes, Orc Marauders for life. As cool as Tau look, and as awesome as DAO U will likely be, Orcs for life!

I really enjoyed this.
Out of all the stories I’ve read, this probably follows the theme to the greatest extent. It drags a little in the beginning, but once you get to the action, it’s pretty gripping.
I love how you used Orcs, a classic stereotype of stupid characters, as the intellect for this story, and the follow-through worked well for the ending. You didn’t flinch, and the story is all the better for the ending.
