Pretty fun, I didn't think about saving so when I died I had to start from the begining so I stopped. But good job !

Developer

Sorry you died. If it's any consolation, I died a lot during play testing :)

Submitted(+1)

Dying was mostly my fault since I just mashed attack most of the time haha. Not particularly my kind of game but I still wanted to give it a try !

Developer

Thank you :)

Great Job!

Developer

Thanks!

I had a lot of fun with this...  And haven't seen many wolf made games. Good work!!
I'll check your Hero or thief later on.
Keep on the good work!!!

Developer

Thank you. Not many people have heard of Wolf. I really hope they make a web version someday. Have ever you used yourself or just RPG Maker?

Really well thought-out and executed game!

I found the story unique and charming, and I was surprised how in-depth you went with leveling up and such.

That menu song though... talk about an earworm, lol.

Keep up the good work! :)

Glad you enjoyed the game.  I actually had to reopen it to remember what the menu song was, because I had not changed it from the default until I stumbled onto it at the last minute. It appears to be called Newpumped, by Antman and as soon as a I heard it, I knew it captured the lively spirit of the game. Probably would have found it an earworm if I had had it for the whole month of development though XD

This is an awesome idea and well executed too! I like the humour as well! Great work!

really nice ! i want more !

Developer

Don't know if you're saying you want more RPGs or more from these characters? I have uploaded another RPG called RPG Hero or Thief and have plans to upload more in the future if I ever finish all my half finished games. If you like the characters, I have recently been liking having characters from my older RPGs make appearances in my newer ones and these two might be fun additional party members in a longer one I am working on...

really nice ! i want more !

This game is cute in the best of ways. It was a fun experience and I would suggest it to other people in the game, nicely done.

Developer(+1)

Glad so many people like the game. When I uploaded it last night, I was having last second "I hate this game, it's just silly" thoughts. Guess they weren't completely founded :)

Part of me still wonders (spoilers)

-if instead of the "perfect" ending of the pair deciding to continue to fight monsters together, the snail just said "Well, I'm off to do snail stuff. Enjoy the rest of your day off," then the hero thinks to himself with an amused smile "Boy, this day off makes most of my days on the job seem like picnics." That was my original plan, but I guess over the journey, they developed a stronger relationship than I had expected and insisted on a different ending.

This is very nicely done - feels very polished for a jam. Nice work!

Developer(+1)

Glad you perceive it as polished. In my first playthrough, I was finding the default stats of some of the enemies quite overpowered, so I reduced them down, but felt they came out a bit too easy now. However, at that point it was time to submit and too easy is much less of a problem than too hard ;-)
