girliepop lament was a proof of concept for a PS1 game that got scrapped. Execs didn't see the aesthetic aligning with the horror gameplay of the game. Press buttons on the controller to activate magical charms which change the environment. Survival horror.

Is there anyone else who you want to credit?

The artwork for this is very well done! The cutesy aesthetic of the phone and UI make it look like a dating sim character placed in Resident Evil or Kings Field.

I like the concept of the various artifacts changing the environment (however that would work). And the character mentioning a target combined with the more PSX horror looking inventory items hints at a darker world in a nice way. I'd almost imagine this as a sort of contained open world where you could wander a section of a city, with lots of secrets to be found by manipulating the environment. Even if that's nowhere near your idea, you succeeded in making my brain desire to learn more.

Good stuff!

Those execs clearly didn't understand that this would have been a tremendous hit with every girl I'd met that owned a PS1, haha. This looks super fun and interesting, and I love the flourishes on the UI that don't align with the implied story progression. It's perfect.

oh the flip phone brings back so much nostalgia- love the game concept sm, the gritty backgrounds with the colorful friendly phone and trinkets makes such a good contrast✨✨

oooo I love the grainy and mysterious look to this game.

The charms on the flip phone really make this for me. I dunno why, it feels just out of place enough to continue that unsettling, horror vibe. I would play this game.

Great work!

Everything is so fun to analyze in just one image! The UI is so creative, I love imagining what each little button press would do in game

Very charming, feels like the kind of game that if it had existed there would be a very interesting feature length YouTube video about. Great work by everyone!

in love with the concept -- i miss the era of flip phones & phone charms .  i also love the detail of the charms matching the ps1 button colors!

Beautiful art and love the atmosphere! The UI elements are so so pretty- I've got a extra soft spot for the baubles over on the left with the button prompts. Imagining what what pressing O for silly little guy does...
