I enjoyed this! The art style was good, and I liked the music and robotic voice—really good job. The instructions helped, and it felt diegetic (It didn't take me out of the world). What would be interesting is maybe adding time pressure to some puzzles as the narrative sort of depicts that something is threatening to come, but there's no urgency, especially with the calming music. All in all great game!

This is the most fleshed out entry I've played thus far for the same reason as Brad's Games stated - I can only assume you were very efficient with your time. I do consider it cheating to use AI for voice acting, but at the end of the day it doesn't really matter as much in this context. Still, I would've recommended hiring real voice actors from Fiverr or something if possible. I'm also used to using arrow keys as opposed to WASD, and it would feel more intuitive if I could just click on things rather than pressing E, but hey, it's no challenge I can't overcome. Still, this is so good I would actually pay real money for a full version, which I suggest you make, and I may even pick this as my number one choice, but we'll see, cause I've just gotten started!
I can only wish you the best of luck and that by working together all of us will help further our local and regional gaming industries to widespread international acclaim.
Thank you very much for this response. I did originally intend to use actors from fiverr (and even briefly considered Norman Lovett after realising he was on Cameo) but didn't want to risk the clips not being ready in time when I only had a couple of days left at that point. If I were to further develop the project then I'd certainly replace the voices, although I think the generated ones did a good enough job at representing what I wanted. I definitely should have included arrow keys as an alternative for movement and it's something I'll try to remember for next time. Thanks for playing!
Damn this is so amazing, I think this hands down my favourite entry of the jam. Puzzles, mood audio and voice acting are all great!
Congrats! Hope to see more in the future. :)
Thank you very much! I always have difficulty in sticking with a project and never finish anything, so I forced myself to finish on time by joining the jam and have really enjoyed the whole process. I will admit the voices used are AI generated but they came out very well and had I started with audio earlier in the week I would've rather used some real voices!
Whhaaa - that was wild! Loved it! My favourite was the sassy computer lady :)
Thanks! Unfortunately I ran out of the time to implement the auto ejection but I did get a reset added for the last set of puzzles which most people found the hardest.
I've always found it important to give credit where it's due to the asset creators because after all, I wouldn't have been able to make this without them. I'm pretty awful at the things they're great at!
