Welcome to NGA 2026!

This year’s event will be hosted in Trondheim from March 19th to March 20th at Trondheim Spectrum. Expect a weekend filled with exciting games and plenty of fun activities!

The official NGA rules can be found on our website, and all participants are expected to have read them at least once.

The submission deadline is March 1st. Games that are not uploaded before this deadline will not be judged by the jury. To participate, make sure your game is uploaded to itch.io in time. We strongly recommend uploading well before the final day to avoid any issues.

Please note: once your game has been submitted, do not delete it. Deleting your submission will result in disqualification. Changes made after the submission deadline are not allowed.

Games will be evaluated in five categories: Game Design, Sound Design, Innovation, Narrative, and Graphics. These cover a wide range of game development disciplines, so don’t worry if your game doesn’t excel in every category—focus on creativity and doing your best!

After the submission period ends, the jury will review the games leading up to the game expo. All awards, except the Gamer’s Choice Award, will be selected by the judges. The Gamer’s Choice Award will be voted on by the audience at the expo. Everyone attending is welcome to vote.

The winners will be announced at the game expo in our event hall, so make sure to be there!
