Super fun! I loved the mechanic of turning the lights off to see where not to go. I loved the first level when I though I was stuck, but then realized I had to position myself differently. I also loved the title screen music. However, Maybe next time don't have the turn light off and reset buttons next to each other, I clicked the reset button by accident too many times :D.  All in all, a really fun game that I will come back too!

This is really cool! Took a while to click, but when it did, that movement was super fun and I enjoyed the puzzles. Congrats on a unique little game.  Great work

Usually a puzzle game with controls this obtuse tends to get overlooked because players think they have no way to progress. This game however has a fair bit of ratings and people seem to like it! After beating it, I think I know the answer: Tutorialization.

Of course, the presentation and linear levels are clear enough so that players won't get lost, which is a mistake made in quite a few games I've played. but the first level teaches you all you need to know to beat this game. It's almost like a vaccine where the first level presents the dumbed-down versions of the obstacles where you're forced to learn how to reposition yourself and look for 2*2 spaces. When I got stuck on levels 2 and 3, I thought to myself, "If I did this in level 1, I  can do it here too".

Level 3 in particular has me going "Please let this be the end" the whole time, which oddly made me relate to the ending on an emotional level.

Would recommend to puzzle players when it's all said and done, 10/10.

I was afraid 3 levels wasn't enough but I am glad it I didn't make a forth level otherwise this game would've felt like torcher! Thank you, I am glad you enjoyed the game.

Well, it was super fun until I got to the part with a 2x2 pixel hole that I couldn't get into. I tried fiddling with diagonal+horizontal moves to inch my torch to the correct position but I just gave up in the end because I didn't know what was helping and what was hindering me. I think this concept is fantastic but the level design should focus more on learning to use the movement intuitively (e.g. timed events, moving platforms that drag the head of the torch with it, maybe some puzzle elements?) rather than requiring a precise position to move on; even if it's in the perfect spot when you playtest the game, it doesn't mean it will be for everyone else.

Developer

It is perfectly feasible to align yourself into the correct position to get into the 2x2 hole. I added this fairly early on in the level and did give the player a lot of space to use. Once players master that section it becomes more clear how to get into certain areas easily.

About the "perfect spot" you mention, you can always manoeuvre yourself into it no matter where you currently are. After all this is a puzzle game, you just have to figure out how you get into that perfect spot which isn't as tricky as you may think. You must work out a technique.

As for me, pretty hard game, it’s like a puzzle game with it’s own lore (Puzzle in puzzle?). Anyway, I’ve enjoyed playing the game, good job!

Who doesn't love a little lore!

I didn't think a nokia game could feel so claustrophobic!

Fun challenging puzzle game! The character orientation affects the positioning later on which required me to think ahead and I love it!

Fun and interesting challenge. Never played a puzzle game that makes me think about my character's orientation so much.

Great level design, unlike anything I've played before

Would recommend

Yep. That's the feeling, the distinct feeling of going mad over not being able to tell if you're making progress or not lol. This was fun and a concept I've not really seen before. The level design was immense too, you can tell that some nooks and spaces were deliberately put there for the player to progress, it was quite nice your way to a spot like that and feel like you've just solved the puzzle.
