Great job submitting a game! I see this is a post jam version and I think your changes basically fixed my main nitpicks with the game at judging period, being the shop prices (rebalancing and moving multipliers to front of shop) and lack of variety (bombs). The polish is phenomenal though. I love the intro cinematic and the personality you were able to give to an automated crane at this resolution was awesome. I did encounter a few bugs this time around with the bomb. Crates going "into" each other and crates stacking on top of invisible space where the bomb used to be. This usually only occurred when the bomb was on the third level. Upgrades affecting vertical space seem less useful than an upgrade that could increase my horizontal movement because as the stack gets higher vertical space gets smaller and with the box directly above you its easy to die to the box. Overall great job! Thanks for participating!

This game is exemplar for this jam. I think the polish is amazing, and the controls intuitive. I did almost quit the game because the earnings were so low until I saw that the multipliers were at the end of the upgrade list. I do think that I could have used a tad more variation to the overall game play, but that might not be necessary overall multiple smaller sessions.

Thank you for playing my entry :) I get many comments on the shop and I should've shown the multipliers at the beginning or changed game-play to earn more if you place more crates in a single run. I spent the most time on polishing the game and didn't have an idea on how to make replay-ability better.

What a cool game! I included it in my Nokia 3310 Jam 4 compilation video series, if you’d like to take a look. :)

Nice video and thank you for trying out my entry!

This Is A Cool Game With An Amazing Title Screen Loading Effect :0 I Love The Upgrade System. It Was Easy To Understand Didn't Take Me Much There Is One Thing And It That The Game Feels Very Grindy So I Feel As To Get A Good Upgrade I'd Need To Play For The Next Day Or Two! Overall A Great Game

Developer
Thanks for playing! I've tried to make the game fast to play and able to get all shop items in minutes, but after reading other comments about it I should get back to the drawing board. The x2 & x5 earning multipliers either got unnoticed or wasn't high enough.

I was able to get 47 without using upgrades.

I think this concept is very fitting in its similarity to snake. It's simple, fun, and has a deceptively tedious and not fun optimal strategy. It's probably a bit better than snake in that at least there's a bit of extra challenge in getting the last spot of a row.

Also, I think the dust particles would work better if they checked for boxes in the way and went up in that case (so the dust would look like it's from sliding against the neighboring box).

Developer
Thank you for playing! Amazing score of 47! I'm actually happy you didn't fill the whole screen with boxed because I found out that I forgot to add a win state and the game would soft-lock XD. The dust particles are actually a 3-frame animation that is played, but indeed adding tile awareness would make it feel a bit more polished.

This is really cool and well implemented! I'm impressed by how polished it feels

Developer
Thanks for playing my entry :D Since this is a relatively easy game I worked more on polishing elements, like: player movement, crane animations, and particles.

That was incredibly polished!

A lot of fun; I wish the upgrades were a bit cheaper (or maybe I just have to get better :P).

Developer
Thank you for playing! Many people didn't like the shop as much, so it's probably not skill related :) This was my first earnings-based shop game and I've learned a lot from it so the next time I'm doing this it will be better :)

Nice idea integrating a shop for multiple playthroughs, the prices were a bit steep but interesting concept overall.

Developer
Thanks for playing! The shop could indeed be better, I thought it was okay with the x2 & x5 earnings multiplier at the end of the shop, Maybe those were better at the beginning of the shop and with better balanced item prices.

The presentation in this alone is excellent, I was fully invested just from the title sequence. Really good job, well done.

Developer
Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed the game :) The small resolution was really limiting, but also added the possibility for nicer effects.

Solid entry! We enjoyed mechanics, especially that unpredicatble moment when crane is over you - it can drop the box straight away or wait for an instance. Great implementation of "Upgrade" theme in form of shop, but we did not try it out - earned too little points to buy something :D

Thanks for trying out my entry :) The crane hanging over a spot before dropping a crate used to be a bug XD But it added a slight challenge so I added a timer to "force drop" the crate, so it became a feature. As for the shop, I should've spent more time into it to balance it out more but with the x2 & x5 earnings options it felt okay-ish IMHO, I've noted it for the future.
