  • I had no idea what was happening for the most part, which makes it difficult as a player to understand the game, but the poetry was a good read. I think I can see what the intent was, but without explanations, there is no way to know what the coins are for — it was also unclear to me what happened if I overspent them. I would spend more time explaining what the game is meant to be, and the point of spending the coins. I really enjoyed the concept of dreaming, even though it was hard to grasp why I was spending coins for it. As a whole, the psychedelic backgrounds and floating lines of poetry really sold the dream-like concept, but maybe go for music that distracts a bit less from reading in this case! When reading the lines I got at the end, it became clearer where the theme was used in the context of this game, and I thought it was really clever! Had you had more time to refine the concept I think this could have been an incredibly solid abstract game. It really just needs a bit more polish to make the gameplay and concept work together more solidly rather than exist together because they have to. Give a bit more context in the beginning — what are the coins for, what does spending them wisely mean, what difference does it make, etc,. The dreams themselves were solid and clear, they just were a bit too detached from the rest. Show that there are parts missing from the final poem, the final "whole", to invite players to want to go again and complete the series. For a short game with such an adventurous concept, it was interesting to play! Good consolidation of knowledge and writing, even if it was a bit loose around the edges. Push the concept further; experimental games like this are sorely missing from a lot of platforms, and I want to see how far you can go if this is what you can do in such a short time!

This is less of a game, and more of a modern art installation. It left me confused and questioning everything, but i think that's what good modern art does. good job!
