- Thanks for joining our jam! I just want to say very quickly before I get into the rest of this feedback session that I failed almost immediately by not having enough points on the first night and coming across potential dates without being able to skip them. Onto the feedback, I thought the gameplay was interesting. I've never played Luck be a Landlord, and I honestly had no idea what I was doing picking cards for the table. It was very easy to ramp up points because no dates kept showing up for awhile, so a progressive increase in dates over days since the last date might have been good to put in. The sound design was good, the UI was mostly intuitive, even if I had no idea what I was doing. I think a tutorial explaining the actual table and cards itself would have been good. I thoroughly enjoyed the dialogue, got a good couple of laughs out of me. It was very funny, ironic, and full of memes. 10/10 there. The only real issue I had was with the intro screen being at a weird resolution, which made the buttons and text not quite be off-screen after you pressed play, and when it switches over to the tutorial/actual gameplay it threw me off hard when all of a sudden it moved over to the corner. An interesting little dating sim for sure, and congrats on your first game!

Love this game! Off-beat, funny, the writing was at time both hilarious and breath-taking. Just a great little gem of a casual game!
Chance Encounters is a slot machine drafting dating sim, heavily inspired by Luck Be a Landlord. You are Special Agent Kryon Torcher, elite veteran of the intergalactic government. You are under orders to do reconnaissance on newly discovered planet "earth"... and all the people that might live there.
Spin the lever, do earth activities, get points, spend points on dates! What's not to love?

We ended having ~4 days to work on this, so all things considered I'm pretty proud of how it turned out. This is our first game jam // published game, so I hope you at least find it amusing!
