The New Mexico Game Jam is a game development event designed to bring together local artists and developers for creative collaboration. This is the 17th anniversary of the Albuquerque Game Developers Guild (AGDG) hosting the New Mexico Game Jam.

While the NM Game Jam is usually 48 hours long, this year we've extended it to 4 days. Our monthly meetup on Sunday takes place during the jam and the weekend of the jam is also the final weekend of the Balloon Fiesta, so we've given jammers an extra 48 hours to work on their games.

NM GAME JAM CODE OF CONDUCT

1. AGDG strives to provide an inclusive, welcoming, and safe environment for everyone. Participants must be considerate of others and behave in a professional and respectful manner.

2. No disruptive behavior or harassment that could be seen as sexist, racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, or otherwise discriminatory. No offensive comments or verbal discussions, particularly if it's related to gender identity, sexual orientation, race, religion, politics, or disability.

4. No NSFW (not safe for work) content in the Discord. If you're worried that something you want to share might be inappropriate, don't share it.

5. No spamming, trolling, or excessive self-promotion.

6. If AGDG determines, either by observation or complaint, that a participant has violated this Code of Conduct, AGDG may take any action it deems appropriate, including warning the offender, expelling the offender from the event, or temporarily or permanently suspending the offender from future events.

If you experience or notice any unacceptable behavior or have any other concerns, please send a DM to Greg Klein or Brett Kidder in the NM Game Jam Discord server. We will get back to you as soon as possible. We treat all reports as confidential and ask participants to please avoid publicly disclosing information about an incident until the NM Game Jam organizers have resolved the situation.

GAME JAM RULES

• You can use any game engine you like. As long as you can upload your game to itch.io, you're all good. 


• If you do use external assets, you must have legal right and clearly mention their use in the itch.io description of your entry. 


• You can work in teams of any size. You may work alone, but I've heard it's dangerous to go alone. 


• Entries containing excessive gore, violence, nudity, or offensive language will be disqualified. 


• If you don't quite get your submission in on time, you can message Greg Klein in the Discord for a late submission link.
