I love the theming of this game and I think that's what really sells it. The gameplay is simple, yet fun, but for me, it's the story and death animations that bring the most joy here. I think you definitely hit on a good idea and I love what you did with it.
The traffic cones always get me. Are they the tallest obstacle? Overall this is really well designed in making the player balance jump timings and jump height. I like the premise too.
Thankyou! I was trying to make the mechanics similar to actual skateboarding. And yes, the cones are the tallest/hardest ones. They used to be harder before I people tested it and had a lot of trouble getting over them. The trick is to jump early.
I found it really hard to judge the difficulty of my own game because I played it so many times while making it.
The humor in this brought me so much joy.
The gameplay loop is very simple, but the way you've bundled it with comedy makes the whole thing really compelling. Definitely the type of game I'd be giddy to show my friends at a party.
